I forgot to say Primer Clips No. 37 Mk1 or 2.
These plates have already been inserted in error into the 6 Pr 7 Cwt post and I do not know how to remove them.

Is there a reason why these 'Blank Cart. Boxes' are painted red?

I have only just seen your comment.
These boxes all contained 17 Pr Blank Mk1 and were red because at that time a red box indicated that it contained Gunpowder, in this case G12. Mks 2 and 3 were filled Cordite and would have had either green or brown boxes.
A red box now indicates that it holds detonators.
