Just posted a picture in the main gallery of the british 1000 lb bomb which we have in the Nederlands Vesting Museum (city of Naarden, Holland).
The bomb was one of a number duly aimed by the Royal Air Force for a german division staff in hotel 'Bosch van Bredius' in Naarden on March 21, 1945. The hotel was destroyed. This particular bomb did not expode (obviously) and was recovered in 1973. After being taken care of by EOD specialists it was put on display in the museum.
Now it is in need of some restoration and a new display. In order to give the tamed beast its original looks I seek information about the color scheme, texts and various technical details.
I will be grateful if any reader could help me in this.
