British 15 Pounder

Nice British 15 pounder that was used in the second Boer War. I was told this is a shrapnel round so air burst? Looks like it has a time fuse.

Indeed it is a shrapnel shell, probably a Mark VI like this one below. The fuze is a No.56.

Any markings on the bottom of the shell?
Also, here's another example, also from the Boer War (not mine, just had those pictures in my reference folder)

Great find with the original No 56 Fuze!!!

With a date of stamp of March 1900 - I reckon it would be a Mk V.

The last photo is a Mk II and would be dated at least around ~1896 from memory.
