British Container H51.1 with H52 Mk1, South African later use ?

Picked up today at Newark Arms Fair ,a H51.1 complete with a H52 Mk2 and packing, is this a British box later used by South Africa? The H51is stamped E .Sage Co Ltd 1945 and the H52 is marked MB 4 1958 .All thoughts welcome

Hi Dave,
All the South African ammo boxes I have come across are 45 dated so are probably just British war surplus used by the South Africans. The Bandoliers that come in the South African boxes have a fantastic variety of dates as well.

Thanks for the information ,Gary .Is Koeel the Afrikaans for Ball? I seem to remember the South Africans putting both English and Afrikaans on their field dressings and other items

Hi Dave, It literally translates to Bullet. I have a 44 dated H13 made in Canada but used by the South Africans in 1944.It also has dual language labels.
