British flares for Denmark

Well-Known Member
From 1953, the Danish Navy used British Signal cartridges, which had a Shorter case. These Were made especially for Denmark and had the Designation M/53. Main supplier was the Company Schermuly (SPRA). For cartridges of this manufacturer, the Designation "DK" was printed on the cartridge case as a part of the lot number. Cartridges made for Denmark did not have any feel signs. Green M/53 Signal cartridges had a green painted top wad and a green colored ring around the case. For red cartridges, these signs were naturally red. White cartridges had a white wad and a White Color ring. Signal cartridges M/53 were manufactured until 1960 and then used up.
