Hello,

What is the Mk of these No1 grenades ?
I assume the first is a Mk1 or Mk2 and the second Mk3 but not sure.

1 :
-Three brass screws for the base wood block
-Three small brass screws for the top plug (detonator holder)
-detonator dated 4-15

Yes, the first is a Mark I body. The top plate removes with three screws for filling.

The other model is nominally a Mark III. This has the 'bayonet' fitting for the base cup. The belt clip is usually soldered on differently on the Mk III but there are hybrids MkII/III. Both Mk II and Mk III have the top plate soldered in place and are filled through the base.

There are also conversions of the Mark I; a cut-down handle with a whipcord grip and tails as per the Mark II is one of the conversions.
