British Hedgehog Bomb Dimensions

Hi, seeking the dimensions of the British Hedgehog anti-submarine bomb, please. A post elsewhere on this forum provides a diameter of the bomb as 7 inches (178mm) which is a great start. I'm also looking for the overall length with or without the fuze, the diameter of the tail fin and the diameter of the tail tube that connects the tail fin assembly with the head, please. If anyone has an ordnance manual, dimensioned drawing or a bomb in their collection, I'd be very grateful for the information, please.

Thanks,
Mike

Not sure where you live but Gosport Naval Museum may have one or details of sizes.

Once you found one dimension you can usually work out the rest. They should be helpful.

The IWM states for the one in its collection:
"whole: Diameter 178 mm., Length 880 mm."
https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/30023797
And the USN museum states:
Length: 3 ft, 10.5 in
Diameter: 7.2 in
Warhead: 30lbs Contact, High Explosive
Total Shell Weight: 75lbs
Range: 200yds
Sink Speed: 24fps
First Flight : 1942

An actual USN example on sale indicates
"the entire piece measures 34¾” tall with the tail assembly having a 7” diameter. "

Not sure if this would help. For the USN Hedgehog, from NAVORD OP 1664 of 1947:

Check out the website for the museum ship USS Slater DE-766. Berthed in Albany NY, USA. USS Slater a US Cannon class destroyer escort, and has a Hedgehog projector and a forward ammunition store filled with de-milled Hedgehogs.
