Hello Folks -

Picked this up on eBay. Seller's description was: "Condition is Used and was raised (1994) from an armed Trawler sunk in the English Channel in 1915"

Well, don't know about that, but I am not familiar with the size and what it may have been used in. Also the two slots near the rim. Specs are by my measurements 62mm x 248mm...

Any help appreciated.

- Mike

Mike.
It looks like a 6Pr Hotchkiss blank. Rim should be 76mm diameter. I have not seen a blank.
I do have the smaller 3Pr Hotchkiss blank , same length and 2 cut-outs but measures 52x248R. Rim in only 64mm.
Your case was by Kings Norton Mk111 altered to Mk1V. Originally 1900 date. Nice item.
