Hello,
I have these pictures in my computer, collected on google from different website.
This shell seems to be a 4.5in star fuzed with No 220.
But no reference, no diagram...
Does anyone know this shell ?
Regards
Australia used the 220 fuze on 4.5" How BE smoke, and that is indeed an Australian shell shown in some of the photos. Shell stamped "BHP" (steel supplier) with a batch number and "MO" (Maribyrnong Ordnance factory, the manufacturer). All these photos look to be Australian and typical of range finds in northern Queensland. These recovered items could even belong to a BOCN forum member, hey @25thapril ?
