Ive wondered the same.The wing set I have is the German green with a yellow stripe,then another coat of German field green.Since you know the yellow paint is there,in my opinion,its probably better to leave it.You never know when it was the Germans that repainted it or not.In the case of the grey body,maybe it was meant to be dropped in the snow?
