Can anybody help me identifiy this?

I acquired this item some time ago and I'm currently in the process of restoring it somewhat, but I honestly don't know much about it, I know it's a practice round and the tail section is missing and it's British but that's about it, If anybody has any idea or could inform me I would be greatful. Thanks

Ahh I see, well I'm clearly missing many parts but I suppose it'll look good when I get it to a better standard. Just curious but where do you guys acquire your items?

You can get a vast mixture of inert UK legal to own items from specialised online auction sites such as quickfire auctions http://www.quickfireauctions.co.uk/index.php occassionaly on ebay but not that often now,
There are dealers online who also sell INERT legal to own ordnance eg..
http://www.dugup.co.uk/
http://www.jcmilitaria.com/ordnance.asp
and if you do a google search for militaria dealers you will find many more who also hold some items of inert ordnance
http://www.militariamart.com/mall.php

Then you get the militaria fairs
The biggest in the UK is the War and Peace revival which is huge http://www.thewarandpeacerevival.co.uk/
Military odyssey http://www.military-odyssey.com/index.php?ix=1&iw=251&iz=0
Stoneleigh Military Show http://www.militariashows.com/
plus theres lots of other much smaller arms and armour fairs during the year throughout the uk
