it's belgian, maybe a shortened 75x278R for Krupp-Cockerill Guns

Alpini thank you for the info, If it has been shortened then they did a nice job, as the length is consistent all around the case.

It is 89.35mm and as best as i can make out the case at the base is 80.75mm. hope this helps. All the Best.

hmm, I think now, it's a different calibre. The 75x278R has a base diameter of 90,00 mm very exactly (I meassured 5 cases from different countries)
