Chinese Stick Grenades....

I've been away too long from this site....decided to start posting again!!! Yeah, welcome back me! :top:

All kidding aside, things have been crazy and I've been too busy to post, now that things are settled down for a short while (come September we are adding another collector to our family, bringing the total boy count to 3!!) I figure I would try to slip onto here once in awhile and start contributing again.

I've had this stick greande set for awhile, I was told when I got them they are Chinese. But I've not seen Chinese ones before with the red stamp, usually it is black lettering I've encountered...can anyone here verify that this is Chinese, and possibly what it says as well? Also, does anyone know what the official designation is for this greande?

Hi. Welcome back. They are Type 68 Chinese stick grenades. There were a lot of them for sale on eBay a few years back. Cheers

For information, this unusual yet seen marking mean:
年 = year
制= made

Hi. Thought I'd add a pic of a few of my favourite Asian Stick Grenades. The one on the left is a type 58 and the two on the right are type 68's. I picked them up on ebay a few years back when they were plentiful and cheap. The other two are VC jungle workshop jobs I think, Cheers

Hi, I've always been told these are type 68's, which appears to be supported by the 68 stencilled on the handles. However, they are also commonly referred to as Type 67's. Is there a difference between 67's and 68's? Cheers

Hi, a friend in China has confirmed that they are type 67's made in 1968. Cheers
