Cobbaton Combat Collection, North Devon

with the holiday season upon us I thought that some of you might be interested in some recent photos from the Cobbaton Combat Collection situated a few miles inland from Barnstaple in North Devon. This is an old school collection, never mind the endless acres of empty space, large photos & narrative aimed at 10 year olds - this is the pile it high, leave it dirty type that so many of us prefer. Its so full of 'stuff' that getting decent photos is difficult but you can lose yourself for hours here

I went there a few years back, highly recommended.
No interactive screens here, just good solid hardware and plenty of it.

Cracking place but if you aren't good with directions or narrow Devon lanes you could lose yourself for hours just getting there! :tinysmile_fatgrin_tTig

Good to see the czechoslowak 152 mm H vz. 18/47.

I've shown areas that would be of interest to BOCN members but there are many separate displays/dioramas - small arms, bayonets, grenades, home front, Home Guard, garage workshop, bomb disposal etc
