Concrete bomb fuze pocket with AZ46

F0031

Well-Known Member
A recent acquisition. Steel fuze pockets with (the remains of) locking rings and AZ46 heads. The bits of concrete still attached and the extra metalwork suggest they were part of concrete target practice bombs.

Tony.

Tony . Yes , from a concrete filled 50Kg bomb . The fuzes had a smoke compound that ignited showing the position of the drop . I think you'll find that these were recently recovered in Norway . Mike.
