Some pics from the filming of Courage Under fire. The Iraq army was 1 T-54, 2 T-55s, 1 Pt-76 and a Btr 152. The U.S. army was Centurion Mark Vs modified to look like M1A1s and the super tank, which was a truck with a turret mounted to it for the scenes with Denzel Washington. The U.S. army wouldn't let them use real M1s. The crew spent months running of underground pipes to simulate oil well fires and modifying the Centurions to look like the M1s. I am driving the lead T-55 out of the bunker complex at the beginning of the movie. I shoot an M1 and die horribly from a shot from Denzel Washington's tank.
