Thanks Richard, depends really, sometimes milling machine, sometimes hacksaw.

Nice job. This fuze is a post WW1 (1924) modification of the WW1 RYG18 with a new male detonator. This fuze had a very long life (fitted with a safety pin after WW2).

Thanks for the info, I don't know much about these really old fuzes as most of the fuzes in my collection are pretty modern so always great to learn something new.

Just a little precision, Darren, the designation of this fuze is RYG (from RaymondY Gaba) and not RGY as in your post title !
