May I request that a kind BOCN member add this WWII German Ordnance manual to the downloads section? It would greatly advance my research of German WWII cannon ammunition. Thank you.

Sorry. That should be "Mortars". Editor will not allow changes to the title.

Black and white copy is in the moderators queue.
You have to have patience on the color one :)

M8owner,

I have a digital color scanned example of the D435/1 (dated 28.12.40 and updated 1943) PM / mail me if you want it. (35MB)

A big Texas sized Thank You goes out to Geert (orpheus72) for sending the whole 35 MB file. What a beautiful manual in color. I do not know how I lived without it for so long. Thank you to all the many other kind offers of aid from our members.

Unfortunately my color version was too big for downloads section (159Mb).
But Orfeus saved the day.
@M8owner: Yes it is a great reference for general information.
I wish there was a version updated April 1945 :)

It is interesting how many items are missing from this manual: 3,7cm Flak 18;8,8cm Flak 18;8,8cm KwK 43;7,5cm KwK 42 to name a few.

Bob - May I request a copy of the 8,8cm KwK 43/Pak 43 ammunition manual if you have one?

Thank you.

Steve

Some of the missing ammunition is flak therefore in luftwaffe manuals. Some came too late to be added.
I do not have the HDv481 manual for the KwK/Pak43 but attached are some pics from the HDv 119/329.
Sorry for the bad quality, faulty part between chair and camera.
Bob

Thank you Bob. That was perfect. Exactly what I sought. What is a Pzgr 39/43 AI?

May I make one more request? Do you have similar information for 7,5cm KwK 42 ammunition?

Steve

The manual for KwK42 ammo can be downloaded at great lexpev page here: http://www.lexpev.nl/downloads/h.dv.48155.pdf
The HDv 119/325 from 1943 has no pictures in it just ammo data same as in the manual above.
The Al (it is AL not A1) means that there is aluminium added to the explosive. (letter "r" in the picture description)
39/43 is the new ammunition with broader driving bands.
