Absolutely delighted to finally receive this mighty muzzle brake from a Wespe (Wasp) SD.KFZ.124 self-propelled howitzer.
Officially called ""10.5 cm Leichte Feldhaubitze 18 auf Fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen II" by the Waffenamt, but every one simply called it the Wespe.
Still with it's original paint, this thing is bl00dy heavy!
I never thought I would ever get a muzzle brake from any Panzer, but this damaged example more than compensates.
Was it damaged in battle and unscrewed, then a replacement added or was the whole vehicle totally destroyed?
Well, now it's in the garden and hopefully a few Wasps will come and see it and have a gander, BOTH would give a nasty sting!
