deep charge ?

Greetings to all. found something in the Adriatic Sea. maybe it's a depth charge? diameter is approx. 35 cm and height is 45 cm and contains approx. 30 kg of explosives. The upper part is a wooden board with nails around which the cable is wound. and some kind of bronze fuse (at least I think)
Anyone have an idea what it could be? Thank you.
Ivan

Wow! That's a crazy find for sure.

While can not confirm exactly what it is, you may want be extra careful around it. I wold also avoid putting a metal knife on it as many sea mines have magnetic fuze assemblies with the capabilities of sensing metal ship hulls to stimulate detonation. Be super careful.

Maybe a type of KuK naval seamine like this one. The 4 supports or what is left of them could be a hint the iron
hull rotted away and some kind of friction fuse system (Like a elia mine) is what we see?
