It is basically a modified Bomb, Incendiary, 4lb - the hexagonal magnesium one - fitted with an electrical fuze (F53) and can also be initiated with a length of safety fuze.

I used to own a container the same as the one in your picture, empty, but I don't have it now.
The only information I have on this item is from posts in this thread, particularly the one from Bonnex.
