July 1st, 1916, what a bloody day.

Yesterday I took this photo at random next to graves of soldiers who died at dawn in the mud of The Somme.
This morning, 98 years later, I want to honor all those brave men who died and suffered in my country.

Regards.

My Daughter has just come back from a school trip to fields and cemeteries of Belgium, they joined in one of the evening ceremony's at the Menin gate "Ypres" and she was chosen to lay a poppy wreath for the school. I am very proud of her to have done that and it is very important that the children of today see & understand what happened and learn about all the people that sacrificed their life for freedom and peace.

We should not and will not forget them.
