Ebay MKI Dummy

Picked up this nice MKI dummy on eBay this week. The one I had was in very poor condition. In the picture, it looks like green paint is partially there but in good light it's actually blue. I don't know why either would be on this grenade as they were painted black if at all. A MKI body was also used as throwing practice but I believe those red. Anyone have any light to shed on this, other than someone painted it blue because they saw later dated practice ordnance with this shade of finish.

Likely just someone painted it to make it easier to find after throwing. I have seen them painted in a number of different colours, blue, red, black, black with white stripes.............. who knows..............

Thanks Daryl. And I should've noted that yours is always on dog my "go to books" on US/British grenades.
And soeaking of TGRM, how much longer do we have to wait for new UNITED STATES TGRM?
