Ive recently bought a mk 2 energa practice grenade in original black paint with yellow stencils etc. Are the fins supposed to be fixed to the tube or should they be able to rotate? Im sure the mk 1 example i have(packed away) has fins that are non moving.Any help appreciated, thanks Tony.

Spinners !

Hi Tony, I can only speak from experience but all of the ones I have ever owned had freely rotating fin sets, the practice marker rounds were more freely rotating than all of the others, and I guess that that may only be because the tolerances would not have been so demanding for practice rounds !

Thanks.

Thanks for the info Chris,No restoration required there then for a change! Regards Tony.:tinysmile_fatgrin_t

The reason for the rotating fin assembly is for repair (or changing) of the fins.
Observe the spring that keeps the fins on the stem.

Regards, Dillo
