Rooting through my ibs the other day i came across this one.
I was shown an example at War and peace and it seemed to
jog my memory.

It has a steel nose and seems to have all of its little bits inside
except for the charge tube.

can anyone give me the correct id for this one please.

Hi Mate The stampings are very feint on this body and i think there is one there or at least a part of it,as is a date of 1943.

Most of the paint is there and i might just highlight it with some light oil
to get the markings up a bit.

You could try glass-dusting?,but mind you dont ruin it..... ;)

On this one i am going to use French chalk as i have just found some from a punchure repair kit that might highlight the numbers,or
I might even go back to basics and do a rubbing of it as i still have a bit of tracing paper somewhere, then owing to how much finish is left i will lightly
rub some oil over it to enhance whats there.

posting a nice early 1kg soon with ace markings:tinysmile_fatgrin_t
