FGM (??) Grenade Fuze

Here is another grenade fuze I've been curious about. Would anyone know of it's country of origin. And is FGM it's nomenclature or manufacture? Don't know and can't remember if the F-1 goes with it, but where we were finding them, it seemed to be interchangeable with the URGM-2 (M?) and it's Chinese counter-part. Thanks for any help, Bruce.

The FG-M fuze is Romanian. I have attached some photos of my Romanian RG-42 with the fuze. It is interchangeable with the UZRG-M, the DVM (Bulgarian) and other similar fuzes. The Romanians have used it on the RG-42, M529 and M92 offensive grenades, the F-1 and GMM defensive grenades and a military tear gas grenade as well as at least one tear gas law enforcement grenade that I know of. Since the fuze fits any fuze well threaded for the UZRG-M you may find it on just about any grenade. I found it on quite a few different non-Romanian grenades in Iraq, for example. Bob

Thanks, Bob. Been wondering about this for 18 years. Regards, Bruce.

If it is not a big problem, please picture of the base of this F-1.

Grenadier, Sorry, but I'm away from home right now. When I get back there around Christmas, I'll take pix of the base and some more of the casting marks. I know you're after the lot number stenciled on the bottom and I wish I could remember it. Thanks, Bruce.
