You are sure the case length is 227mm? For my opinion ist the case length 277mm.

It is entirely possible. I might have messed it up. Long days when I am out and about doing these.

Yes, it's the standard interwar French naval AA gun case as used in the M1925 (single) and M1932 (twin) manually-loaded guns.
