French 37mm model 1916 filled sand

Hello,

As we recently talked about French shell 37mm model 1916, herewith pictures of an interesting one made for practice (fired) : typical square stamped on base (for inert shell), filled sand, fuze with internal percussion device removed. This model is fitted with a crimp groove for the case.

Are you sure it's the right case as the shell is fitted with a crimp groove on base ?
Are your sure it's sand on last picture ? (broken base)
