French 75 Lamp

Impossible for me not to buy one lamp per outing !
This one will stay a lamp. Refinishing and rewiring required.
Has a decent inscription which I haven't translated yet.
The band has not been turned to shape, so an incomplete projectile
from wars end and canceled contract ?

Underneath the date of Nov 11 1918

is this "U.G.C.M" does this have any known meaning?

Cleaned up French Lamp

Marked;

NAZ. LAVERDIERE

OUTILLEUR
MONTMAGNY
PQ

The word "OUTILLEUR" indicates a tool making concern, perhaps
they made French 75s on contract ?

It cleaned up well though and for $30 = 16 pounds is a decent lamp anywhere.
Sometimes these are just best left as they were if the design is good and the projectile
not rare.
Just a better shade perhaps. :tinysmile_grin_t:
