I was lucky enough to secure this canister, unfortunately empty but in a very good condition. It's a French "Boite A Mitraille" which means canister. I found it was a model 1913 designed for fortress guns, but I am a bit puzzled as the markings on top read "75 APX 2L 10" Could someone confirm the meaning of this writing, I think APX is "Ateliers de Construction de Puteaux but what is 2L and is 10 a date? If it was then this canister was manufactured before it was adopted??? Surely I am wrong somewhere. Thank you for your help.
