I have had this projectile for many years and I am amazed by the weird deep pointed fuze threads. Never seen this before.
It looks like a 3.0mm pitch but very deep pointed type threads. Does this thread type have a name? What case maker/date suits this projectile?
It matches the Obus de Rupture Mle 1892 on page 338 of R.Mellichamp's book Vol.1. Projectile is 92.5mm long without the fuze.
The fuze base has the same F 98 mark for revised fuze 1898. Any comments are welcome.
