Hello,

I spent some time today to make a picture of french 75mm HE from WW1 to compare length and shape.

HE shells are disposed without gaine and fuze.

-1 : 75mm Mle 1915
-2 : 75mm Mle 1915 with the head screwed made by private industry (the shell shown has been rebanded)
-3 : Mle 17
-4 : Mle 18
-5 : Shrapnel 1897 to compare the size
-6 : I added a picture with my computer of the first HE (Mle 1898) filled with Black Powder and with a 22mm fuze (not 24mm like other). Same length as shrapnel but in one piece (no head screwed and no gaine)
