Fuze boss construction phases..

Some interesting little items i got last week(thank you Spott for these blanks).
They are from i guess where the fuzes/components were made?

The fuze boss must have started out as blanks then pressed(i always thought they were milled from scratch?),then off to the machine shop to end up similar to this type 15 boss shown.

One i got is this curios piece that i didnt notice properly until pointed out by my old pal Dave that it could be the fabled '25 'Y' ?? (designed to fool the poor BD man into thinking it was a standard 25 but a 50B 'Y' lurked beneath..)
But would the manufacturers bother with the underside of the selector switch if it was made to decieve?
Sadly,probably not but still a nice little curio! :)
