German 15cm sFH 02/13 howitzer case trench art

I recently acquired this empty case with trench art images featuring six ancient Egyptian scenes. The case is for the German 15cm sFH 02/13 howitzer.

Is there any way of knowing whether this artwork is actual trench art or if it was done 'back home' in somebody's garage?
