Restored this German 3cm projectile (3cm Pzsprgr.L’spur o.Zerl, if I’m correct? ) recently, I had cleaned it previously when I originally bought it but never got to restoring it properly.
Light rust was cleaned off and the pitting was filled with auto body filler for small cracks. It’s alcohol based and dried in 10 minutes. Sanded smooth, primed and painted. I used some dirt and dust on the workbench to make the paint a little dirty and not shiny new.
Since the internal threads were in such good condition I used some of the basic measurements of the fuze from a manual and made a semi-accurate base fuze from solid aluminum.
Unfortunately I don’t have a 30x184b casing spare for it, they seem to be hard to find alone. If anyone has some leads I’d be very appreciative!
Hope you enjoy!
