previously posted in the past threads are my SC500 and SC250 tail fins.
The 500s were very twisted and had been recovered from Tilbury Essex from a
Gravel pit.
on this occasion i had to restore them by taking them to peices and doing
plenty of hammer and heat shrinking work.
I made new fin support bars and gave them a matt coat.
They are nicely stamped 1937 which makes them pre blitz, but recovered in 1992
from a daylight raid in 1940

A good bit of panel beating going on there, well done good job. An impressive bit of kit with a bomb added.

What's the bomb in the first picture (red primer)?

Excellent restoration project, they've come out great!

Fantastic job, excellent restoration. Just shows what is possible with a piece of twisted metal.
Cheers
Gary

Hi Skull
Thanks Mate they took a while but realy needed to be done.

The bomb in the red primer is my next project, and its an SC250 Single fuze pocket Recovered
from Essex in 1992

All the best Phil

Thanks Gary
The fact that they were 1937 dated pushed me into getting them straight again, and i
still have the base of the bomb casing they were attached to.

All the best Phil
