German L/45 case

I have this german 15 cm case which is marked "L/45". From what I have understood, this type of gun were used as secondary armament on german battleships, battlecruisers and cruisers built during World War I. It was also used to arm the Light Cruiser Emden and in coastal artillery batteries.

This case has been used in Norway (coastal artillery batteries) and is also marked by the Norwegian company Raufoss. The primer is also made by this company.

On the right side of the "L/45" mark, a "B" is stamped. Does anyone know the meaning of this stamp?
