The glas cover is mentioned in several non official sources (Erhard Koch, German EOD-handbook, there called Druckhaube / pressure cover).
I strongly believe these covers are a safety-item, when handling/inserting this highly sensitive fuze (requested pressure weight approx. 12 kg),
especially when used outside of a Glasmine as booby trap-igniter.
PS: unfortunately the piece in question is a complete replica, including glass cover! :tinysmile_shy_t:
