Hello,

I'm looking for a diagram of this german bouncing round (different of the diagram shown in picture 3).

Regards.

There are a couple of images in the following Patent references. Apologies if you have already seen these; they are hard to find since the only data that seems to be recorded are the diagrams:

and a British intelligence report which unfortunately uses the same diagrame that you already have. It might be of interest anyway.

I can add that the german name of the smaller diameter mortar shell is "springende Wurfgranate 16". If I understood it right the larger diameter mortar shell on the first foto is a normal Wurfgranate 15. To make it bouncing a special device (shown on the picture) called "Sprungapparat 17" could have been attached. Unfortunately not many documents about the Sprungapparat 17 seems to have survived.

The "springende Wurfgranate 16" used a special longer than usual fuze which is shown in the diagrams. About the "Sprungapparat 17" I am unsure if normal short fuzes could be used?

The document, and also the diagram, shows a different type of propelling charge for this type of wurfgranate:

'a tin container with a charge instead of the blank cartridge thus leaving more room for the bursting charge'.
