Picked this 20x82mm up at a local gun show seller had no idea what it was, although far from being pristine still a good deal for $5.

Do they really sell for that much in the USA? You can find them at shows here in the UK being sold by UK and European dealers for around £10 to £20 depending on condition.
 
Quite a few have been released into the US market recently. So, they can be had for less than $50 currently.
 
My understanding is that it's fairly tough to ship ordnance internationally due to the political climate these days. I know the German 20mm flak rounds are more common here than the one posted. And I think a lot of stuff that is common here like are 20mm and 25mm rounds are not that common across the pound.

Quite common on the east side of the pond, 15,- to 20,- euro's depending on condition.

It might be live if the fuze is not removeable. I see the case has been drilled, so that probably was emptied.
