Have been watching this for a few years, started out at $450 Cdn, today after a torential downpour it was $150 which he refuzed yesterday in fine weather (= $115 U.S. or 93 P.S.) , he had had enough in his tent at the antique market.

It has been polished and the date was buffed off, I can only make out "l" , but these don't show up over here. I expect
not so scarse in the UK.
What guns were these used on, larger types I expect ?
Compared to the simple clinometer type used everywhere this is quite a production , more accurate perhaps ?

Does any one have a few pages in a period manual detailing the use of this?
It cost in 1915 W/O case 2pounds 7 shillings 9 pence ~
( L1 in 1915 is equivivalent to about L97.72 in 2017 or about 230 pounds total now = $371 Cdn.
It does the same thing as these do which you are likely more familier with.
