Friend found this top piece on a old demolition range which may be a fuze for a grenade, Made of alloy the thread is the course rounded type which fits a 69 70 73 80 or 82 grenade which would accept a str striker mech or a 247 top. The range in question also was used by the Navy and for destroying vehicles. I thought it may be a connector for one end of a large braided cable found in vehicles but may be not.
