Grenade No23/36 with cast gascheck

Fantastic, Bonnex do you know if there was a cut down lever with this or is there a cut for a lever in the ring,,,,,, Dave

The ring is gapped to allow it to a full size lever for hand use. I hate to say it but the baseplug is an M&Co No 5 1/1917 with threaded hole (and before we get into the obvious speculation the baseplug was in the grenade when it was found at the trials site).

So did the Belgians have an S&B cup modified for the French Lebel... ?

Seriously though, was it found at Wembley or Richmond? And is it a one off?

Tom.

Are,,,, may be the trials gun was so worn out thy had to use bigger rods at first, then the barrel was so shot thy invented the cup dis charger :tinysmile_twink_t2:

Now Tom don't get confused with the Mills modified for the Argentinian Gaucho Mauser conversion (or was that the Groucho?).
