Over the years anytime I had access to bits/pieces that were being trashed, dumped, etc I did my best to save what I could, with the thought that sometimes you might obtain a grenade missing a fuze, or spoon, whatever, and parts have value. While I have repeatedly been thankful of these efforts, if you aren't very careful it can get disorganized, and you lose (or never had) identity of these bits and pieces.
This weekend I've been working on organizing my spare grenades, pulling out Chinese trash copies, fitting fuzes onto spares with none, etc. At the same time I'm trying to put the fuze and spoon piles into usable groups, but identification is a slow process. I've currently got over 50 models of fuzes identified, mostly US, but with a number of other countries represented as well. Some are common, some exceptionally rare and valuable.
I've got some bits and pieces that I have no idea, thought I'd throw them out for inspection and see if anyone recognizes anything. I may have more later as I get deeper into things.
Starting off with some general shots of the group, followed by the mystery pieces. Some items may show up more than once as the stack becomes a bit more organized. Lots more not shown, but you get the idea.
