Headstamp 'HG'

Hi ,

Does anybody know who makes 7.62mm SAA with headstamp HG ? for some reason i think its Singapore!.
I have a draw set with cases that have that stamping.

You're quite right Bob.....Chartered Industries of Singapore. 'HG' is the date code for 1987.
it works like this;

1 - 1
B - 2
C - 3
D - 4
E - 5
F - 6
G - 7
H - 8
I - 9
O - 0

Probably, but just to be sure, what else is on the headstamp?

Must have been suffering from memory fade, the head stamp is actually 'G H '.
Do the same rules apply , re,Singapore?



Will post a pic of the whole draw set when i've laid it out.

Definitely Singapore Bob, same rules, made in 1978.
