Hello Merry Grenadiers!!

I have a problem that may be common to guys who have American M2 pineapple type grenades, and mine are WWII M2 pineapples. I did a not too smart thing, and now I am paying a price,

Does anybody have a good way of reinserting the pin back into the fuse when it is quite obvious it has been played around with many times before, and the two halves of the cotter pin are not difficult on the first insertion where you can see, but when it comes to getting the two halves of the pin thru the second side, you can be frustrated all to hell!!

Is it just a better deal to get a new straight cotter pin from a hardware store, or does anybody sell good condition real American fuse pins......straight and the two halves just normally stay close together?
