Help dating a 3 inch 50 cal casing

Hello all,

Just got this casing. Its a 3 inch 50 cal MK 7, but has no date and no USN stamp.
Primer looks unfired but tube inside is empty. Primer is marked: Mk 42 -2 / 1 80 / Lot numer
Would this indicate reloaded January 1980? I thought the brass casing were early WWII?
Was this only used by US or UK also?
Thanks in advance
Hinrik

It isn't a U.S. Case. The primer is electric, that's why it doesn't look as if impacted.

I dont now where the case was made, could be US, but the case is reloaded by the raufoss company (Norway) in 1980. Perhaps they put a electric primer in it?, because this is also raufoss. A photo of the stamped in markings would help.

Here is a marking on the side. Raufoss related I guess. Only markings on base is the lot number: "Lot 2 RA 80"
" Cal 50" / "3 " / " Mk 7"
