Hi ,new to the site , was looking for some help identifying what looks like a percussion primmer . I found it while diving in Milford Haven on a wreck called "The Collier" It has several markings on the base " GK and VII " also what looks like the letters "L&M" in a kind of script font . The screw-on brass bit has a shield with what looks like E6 and Co. stamped in the middle, and a letter I. Any help much apprieciated.

primer

Hi there, what you have there is an adapter mkVI with a metal igniter. It was a 'protruding' primer that was used on 12pdr 12cwt cases and some 4.7inch cases too.Ben
