HELP why this 57mm is brass ??

Can anyone help with this russian Silicon-brass case , normally steel , but the brass type are hard to come by for the S60 AAA Gun 57 x 348 mm sr , semi rimmed , its heavier than a 25pdr shell case,
I've been told to hang on to it as I am thinking of selling it , the brass has so called made it hard to 100% say much about it
I was thinking of letting it go but not so sure now ???.

someone said its a hard to get case as don't want to use the word rare as its not one in a million , but hard to get , any help at all would be great , I think its TULA made but not sure

I'm not sure who told you the brass ones were hard to find compared to steel, but in the U.S., I've never seen a Russian one that wasn't brass. I have a green steel Chinese one on the other hand, and haven't seen a brass one from China. The ones we see over here are usually the older ones from Vietnam, and maybe the Gulf War.

57mm Russian AAA cases aren't necessarily easy to find, you don't see them offered up very often. Don't let it go too cheap.

Yeah ive noticed in the US its easy to get , were here your more likely to run into a steel one , ???

In my experience these brass cases are common in the UK. I've seen them for between £15 and £25 and there is not much demand for them. Never seen a steel case though.
