Help with French 75mm

Hi everyone, I have this French 75. Clearly this type was in use during WW1, but were they also being manufactured after 1918? Certainly the guns that fired them were still in use in WW2. This example is marked 39, so I just wanted to be certain that this is not a date, and that this is infact, a Great War shell (as I believe it is) Many thanks, Douglas

"39" is not the year of manufacture.
Year of manufacture (with lot number) is usually above driving band.
